Authorities have confirmed that fifteen undocumented workers were arrested during an enforcement operation at a solar farm site.
The arrests took place following an inspection led by immigration officers, who were acting on intelligence about unlawful employment practices at the facility. Officials reported that the workers did not possess valid documentation permitting them to work in the country.
The individuals are now in custody while investigations continue. Authorities are also examining whether the company operating the solar farm was aware of or complicit in hiring the workers.
A spokesperson for the enforcement agency emphasized that action would be taken against both illegal workers and employers who violate labor and immigration laws.
The case has raised fresh concerns about worker exploitation in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the renewable energy sector, which has seen rapid growth in recent years.
