Immigration was a major factor in the Referendum, but only because it was a child of an immigration policy that was controlled by the EU. It didn’t matter a jot that Cameron said that he would reduce EU immigration by tens of thousands, the truth is that he couldn’t do it, because it was a ‘competence’ outside of his and our control. Therefore we had to take back control of our borders, and thus leave the awful EU.
I expect that most people in this country would tolerate SOME immigration, but only for those who can support themselves, have their own health insurance, can pay their taxes just like we have to, and where there is a skill shortage in their particular area of expertise. Their nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation or any other metric apart from their employability is completely irrelevant.
