Immigration officers pay Nailsea nail bar a surprise visit

A team of immigration enforcement officers from the Home Office went to the premises near Bristol unannounced.

A nail bar near Bristol received a surprise visit from immigration officials.

Immigration enforcement officers from the Home Office carried out an unannounced visit to Glam Nails at Kings Court, Nailsea.

A team of officers arrived at the premises yesterday (Wednesday, April 18), around teatime.

Officers checked documents for staff working at nail bar, which has been operating in the North Somerset town for several years.

No offences were discovered during the investigation and the nail bar was open for business as normal today.

A spokesman for the Home Office told Bristol Live: “We attended a business in Nailsea on Wednesday, April 19.

“Officers checked the documents of those people working at the premises.

“No immigration offences had taken place and no further action will be taken against the business.”
